Sabro Bibliotek is more than just a library. It’s a community hub a shared space for both the public library and the school library. This unique setup means a richer more diverse collection for everyone.
Imagine browsing through approximately 20000 books magazines DVDs and accessing digital media. Sabro Bibliotek is part of Aarhus Bibliotekerne. This means you can even request materials from all over Denmark. In 2000 the library lent out about 30000 items. Two-thirds of those were children’s books. A testament to the library’s dedication to young readers.
But Sabro Bibliotek is more than just books. It’s a vibrant community center. The library is open two days a week with staff on hand. Volunteers from the Sabro Biblioteks Venner keep it open two more days a week. They participate in events and even organize their own throughout the year. They even host interesting lectures. For example a lecture by biologist and geographer Vagn Juhl-Larsen. He shared his views on environmental problems identifying causes and suggesting solutions.
