He achieved international acclaim with operettas like “Der Tanz ins Glu00fcck” which translates to “Dance into Happiness.” This operetta became a global sensation. The Robert Stolz Sculpture stands as a testament to his contribution to the world of music. Robert Stolz composed numerous operettas. His film scores earned him two Oscar nominations. He even dabbled in ice operettas. He dedicated one of his 19 ice operettas to European Champion Eva Pawlik. The inscription on this memorial reads “Zum Gedenken an den Komponisten Robert Stolz 1880 – 1975.” This translates to “In memory of the composer Robert Stolz 1880 – 1975.” Robert Stolz’s legacy extends beyond Austria.
