In 1976, seeds were sown for what would become Shalom Bible-Presbyterian Church. A student pastor named Tan Choon Seng was sent from Sembawang BP Church to Grace BP Church. This seemingly small event was the first step in a journey of faith. Shalom Bible-Presbyterian Church officially began its journey in 1981. A small group of 22 adults and 4 children gathered at St. George’s Chapel in Changi for their first service. Imagine those early days at Shalom Bible-Presbyterian Church. The area was sparsely populated, making growth a challenge. Yet, the congregation persevered, demonstrating their commitment. A pivotal moment in the history of Shalom Bible-Presbyterian Church came in 1987. The church acquired land on Loyang Besar Close. This allowed them to build their own dedicated space. The building was completed in 1990, thanks to the sacrificial giving of the Shalomites. Shalom Bible-Presbyterian Church continued to grow. In 2004, they embarked on an expansion project, adding the extension you see today. Today, Shalom Bible-Presbyterian Church stands as a testament to its humble beginnings. It continues to serve as a place of worship and community. The church invites everyone to join them on their journey of faith, hope, and love. Their Sunday service is held from 9 am to 10:30 am. Come and experience the warmth and fellowship of Shalom Bible-Presbyterian Church.
