Wells Branch Church of Christ has seen more changes than a chameleon in a rainbow. The church’s journey began humbly on East 7th Street in the early 1900s. Picture a quaint red brick building, a beacon of faith in those early days. As the congregation grew, so did their need for space, leading them to Taylor and Waller Streets in the late 1930s. Their journey continued to Avenue F in 1951, a testament to the dedication of the church members who even helped construct the building. Eventually, the church moved to Manor Road in 1968, before settling in its current location on West Howard Lane in 1997.
