The new design will be safer for pedestrians and those in wheelchairs or strollers. A lighter pavement will be used. It will reduce heat absorption during summer. The south side will be protected by stone elements and Lyon paving stones. This will create visual and tactile guidance. Seating areas will be added. On the north side there will be plants. They will act as a safety buffer. Climbing plants on a pergola will provide shade. New trees will be planted on the west side.
