Måløv Aksen links Måløv with the new Søndergård district. These two areas are on opposite sides of Måløv Byvej and the S-train line. Måløv Aksen connects Søndergårds Torv with Måløv Station. It aims to unite the two districts. It also strives to create an appealing urban space for recreation and community.
The area includes Pladsen. Pladsen features a staircase, a climbing wall, and ramps. The previously dark tunnels of Måløv Aksen have become bright passageways. Young locals created graffiti art in these tunnels. Soft background music enhances the atmosphere. The tunnel paths and walls are inspired by meltwater deposits.
Liw Planning and ADEPT Arkitekter designed Måløv Aksen. It received the Dansk Landskabspris in 2010. The area around Måløv Station is inspired by the Ice Age landscape. It creatively connects various forms of transportation. It also uses the site’s terrain effectively. Pladsen invites activity. People can explore the artistic landscape. They can also enjoy parkour on the terraces. Skateboards are also welcome.
The tunnels of Måløv Aksen once featured illuminated graffiti behind plexiglass. This artwork was created by young people from Måløv and the surrounding area. However, this part of the artwork was removed in 2022.
