The Watermark Community Church stands tall and proud off the Lyndon B Johnson Freeway, a beacon of faith in the heart of Dallas. Founded in November 1999, Watermark is a nondenominational evangelical megachurch, a community of believers eager to reach out to those who haven’t found a spiritual home.
The church is known for its weekly young adult service, “The Porch”, attracting thousands of attendees each Tuesday night. There’s a sense of energy and community that fills this space. Watermark has a unique program called “Re:generation recovery”, a 12-step Christ-centered recovery that supports people facing a variety of challenges. Many find solace and hope in this program.
Watermark has expanded over the years, launching several campuses throughout Dallas-Fort Worth. Some, like the Frisco campus, have become independent churches, offering a wider reach and serving growing communities. Watermark also purchased the former Pearl C. Anderson Middle School property in South Dallas. It plans to use this location to offer community services such as healthcare, job placement, and recovery programs. This initiative aims to address the needs of the surrounding community and demonstrate Watermark’s commitment to its neighbors.
