“Solid Rock First Baptist Church,” you say, looking up at the grand facade, the sun reflecting off the stained-glass windows. It might not be the most famous church in Dallas, but Solid Rock holds deep roots in the community, and a rich history that you won’t want to miss. This church began as a satellite campus for First Baptist Church of White Settlement back in 1982. They were independent since 1996, when they changed their name to Solid Rock Baptist Church of Fort Worth. They still contribute their financial support to the International Mission Board and they have a similar theology as the Baptist churches.
Solid Rock is a place where people come together, not just for worship, but also for a sense of belonging. They serve the community in various ways. The church offers Bible studies, community groups, and various outreach programs that benefit many people in the area. There’s a diverse mix of people here, coming from a range of denominations and backgrounds. There are no rigid organizational structures that define their identity, their focus is on Christ, and their commitment to the Word of God. They are here to spread the message of hope and love, and to make a real difference, and that’s something that truly shines through here at Solid Rock First Baptist Church.
