Built on December 8 1986 Masjid Jami’ Nurul Iman opened its doors on April 29 1987. Officially inaugurated on November 6 1987 by Bustanil Arifin the then Minister of Cooperatives the mosque quickly became a cornerstone of the Pondok Bambu community. The Yayasan Nurul Iman Pondok Bambu YNIPB a formal legal entity was established in 1988 to manage the mosque’s affairs.

Masjid Jami’ Nurul Iman isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a vibrant hub for community engagement. It serves as a center for Islamic teachings and faith strengthening for locals and students from nearby schools. The mosque also supports underprivileged children and promotes economic empowerment through initiatives like the Koperasi Syariah 212 Pondok Bambu a local Islamic cooperative. Furthermore in 2017 it received third place nationally in the Imarah category which recognizes excellence in mosque management from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. The mosque continues to thrive reflecting the tireless commitment of its leaders and congregation.
