The stadium urgently needs an overhaul to continue hosting events and meet safety standards.

Despite its current condition the Bodenseestadion continues to serve the community. Since 2021 the Konstanz Pirates American football team calls it home. Recently the Campus Festival Konstanz moved to the Bodenseestadion.

The future of the Bodenseestadion is uncertain. Plans for renovations exist but remain unrealized. Yet the spirit of this stadium remains strong.
