“Reaching young professionals, that was the goal.” Today, we stand before Park Community Church, a testament to the vision realized in 1988. Pastor Matt Heard, along with a dedicated group of 50 individuals, embarked on a journey from Moody Bible Church. They planted the seeds for Park Community Church at the Francis W. Parker School. Imagine their hope, their aspirations to connect with the vibrant community of Lincoln Park. From those humble beginnings, Park Community Church flourished. In 2008, a significant milestone marked their journey. The church acquired the Near North building. However, they embraced an even grander vision: to become a multi-site church. Their reach would extend far beyond the confines of a single building. They aspired to touch the lives of people across the diverse neighborhoods of Chicago. Today, Park Community Church stands as a testament to their unwavering commitment. It has blossomed into a family of 15 interdependent churches scattered throughout Chicago. Their mission? To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, fostering a community united by faith and purpose.
