Imagine a bustling village life, children playing, and the sounds of daily chores. But by 1670, Stokkerup met its end. The expansion of Jægersborg Dyrehave, the royal hunting grounds, demanded space. The villagers were relocated, their homes demolished. Stokkerup Dam now cradles the remnants of this lost community.
