The Home of Life MB Church is more than just a place of worship. It’s a beacon of hope in a neighborhood. It all started in 1982 when Pastor Johnny Henderson, guided by the Holy Spirit, began the church with 45 people. Their first meeting was held at 1421 W. 69th Street. They sang “Amazing Grace” and Pastor Henderson preached his first sermon, “So Close But Yet So Far”. The church expanded quickly, and in 1982 they relocated to 4647 W. Washington Boulevard. But even that location became too small. In 2002, after a lot of hard work and determination, they moved into their new home on West Madison Street where it stands today. The Home of Life MB Church is a beautiful testament to the power of faith. It offers a place to gather, learn, and grow. The church is a beacon of hope for the neighborhood. You can feel the love and support here. It has a beautiful sanctuary, a child care center, and even a banquet facility. It’s a truly remarkable place.
