Nemcsics was no ordinary artist. He was a color designer, painter, and environmental planner. He even served as a university professor. The Színország Galéria, also known as the Nemcsics Memorial House, was once his home.
Step inside the Színország Galéria. You will find yourself in the very place where Nemcsics formulated his Coloroid color system. This complex theory explores color harmony. He also developed a color dynamics environmental theory. Nemcsics even created a color reference index system here. His theories shaped the built heritage around us.
Nemcsics believed in the power of color. He used it to transform our everyday world. Think of our houses, workplaces, and even our cities. Nemcsics left his mark everywhere. He designed color schemes for schools like the Örökösföldi Gimnázium in 1986. He also worked on hospitals, factories, and churches. He even developed color plans for entire city districts. The Színország Galéria spans approximately 100 square meters. It showcases Nemcsics’ former living space. The gallery also features his impressive studio. This studio stands almost six meters high.

The Színország Galéria opened its doors as an exhibition space in 2020. The Színország Galéria is managed by Nemcsics Csongor, the Nemcsics Memorial House, and the Tomory Lajos Museum.
