Step inside a world where Danish creativity thrives. We are standing in front of Soho House Copenhagen. It is a members club that is located in the central Havnegade district. Soho House Copenhagen is the first of its kind in Scandinavia.

This building was once Copenhagen’s Customs House and ferry terminal. It was built in 1937. The building’s history inspired the interiors. You can find subtle maritime details throughout the club.

As you enter Soho House Copenhagen, notice the large painting. It is by Kristian Touborg. Above you hangs a three-tier Verner Panton shell chandelier. It makes a statement with its presence.

To the right of reception is a burlwood bar. The bar serves cocktails. Club Cecconi’s is a restaurant here. It serves Venetian-inspired dishes. These include spaghetti lobster and cacio e pepe. Wood-fired langoustines tempt the taste buds. They come in a chilli garlic butter. Cod, mussels and nduja butter are served with rainbow chard.

The dining room has gloss-painted panelling. It has scalloped edges. A large tiered glass chandelier hangs above. Smaller chandeliers are on either side. Kvadrat linen curtains create a luminous effect. They filter the light from the windows.

The main club space has a playful feel. It feels contemporary. Bespoke timber flooring lies beneath your feet. Vintage Danish furniture and lighting are placed around the room. A fabric DJ booth sits in the corner. It has a custom-made record display behind it.

The outdoor terrace seats 140 guests. It spans the length of the club. The terrace overlooks the water. It offers a picturesque view.

Soho House Copenhagen showcases Danish art. The art collection features 38 artists. They were born, based, or trained in Denmark. The works represent both emerging talent and established artists.

The House’s interiors feature soft furnishings. They use ice-cream shades of pink, yellow, cream, and green. The ceiling has a unique grainy-blue colour. These colours reference Nyhavn’s iconic townhouses. Bespoke dark timber wood accents are here. They complement Danish lighting. It is a nod to the capital’s craftsmanship.

The Customs Room is upstairs. It is a relaxed space. It is laptop-friendly during the day. In the evening, it hosts events and entertainment. Soho Active is a gym and studio space.

Nick Jones is the Founder and CEO of Soho House. He said he looks forward to welcoming talented people to the global membership.

Soho House Copenhagen offers a unique experience. It blends history, art, and design. It is a place for the creative community to connect. It is a place to hangout. It is a space to feel inspired.
