Clementi Town Secondary School opened its doors in 1980. It stands proudly in Clementi. Students here are affectionately known as Clementeens.

Let’s step back in time to 1994. Clementi Town Secondary School was chosen as a pilot school. This involved the Smart Classroom Project. An Apple Macintosh Computer laboratory was set up. This marked the early planting of the school’s roots in computing. By 1997 Clementi Town Secondary School launched its IT Masterplan.

Fast forward to 2008. Clementi Town Secondary School completed its PRIME upgrading. Imagine the excitement. A school-wide walk back to the Clementi campus was held. It came from the holding site in Commonwealth.

Clementi Town Secondary School is committed to developing students’ passions. In 2009 the school began its biennial musical journey. Students and alumni joined forces. They staged a musical production together. The first musical was “To Kill a Mockingbird”.

In 2015 Clementi Town Secondary School celebrated its 35th anniversary. Four key events marked the occasion. A time capsule was planted. It is set to be unearthed in 2030. There was a combined aesthetics concert. A homecoming dinner was enjoyed. The CT Shoes4Soles event collected shoes. These were then distributed to the needy.

That same year Clementi Town Secondary School was accorded two significant programs. The Applied Learning Programme focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The Learning for Life Programme emphasized leadership. This was achieved through Uniformed Groups.

The school’s motto is “Aspire and Grow”. Look closely at the school crest. The initials ‘CTS’ are clearly displayed. The letter ‘T’ is a stylised tree. It has four layers of leaves. Each layer narrows as it ascends. This represents growth and aspiration. Green symbolizes growth. White represents purity.

Listen again to the school song. Its lyrics speak of unity and diligence. They reflect the true spirit of Clementi Town Secondary School.
