Led by their headmaster, Børge Barløse, they walked from Åby Skole to inaugurate their new educational home. Officially opened in 1962, Gammelgaardsskolen was built a few years earlier for Åby Kommune by the renowned architects Gravers and Richter. This impressive institution has grown to accommodate over 1000 students, making it one of the largest in Aarhus Kommune.
