“A church isn’t just a building, is it?” Holy Spirit Catholic Church, right here in Ringwood North, is much more than bricks and mortar. It’s a living testament to faith, community, and a shared history that stretches back to 1972. When Father Jim Nippard first led this parish, it was in its infancy. The community was young, vibrant, and growing rapidly. Imagine, a median age of just 28.5 back in 1991! Holy Spirit Catholic Church was designed to be the heart of this community, not just a place of worship but a multi-purpose centre where everyone could gather. It’s no wonder that the school, Holy Spirit Community School, embraced this ethos too, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and equality. Over the years, Holy Spirit Catholic Church has seen incredible leaders like Father Kevin Mogg, who served for a remarkable 23 years. His dedication shaped the church’s identity and its commitment to serving those in need. This legacy continues today with the various outreach programs and activities that touch the lives of so many, proving that Holy Spirit Catholic Church is a place where faith and action walk hand in hand.
