From its humble beginnings as Bible Faith Church in 1927 The Bridge Community Church stands as a testament to enduring faith. This Chicago landmark initially served as a small Sunday school for neighborhood children. Over the decades it changed names and buildings but its core mission remained constant spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Bridge Community Church isn’t just a building. It’s a living organism. Its heart beats with the rhythm of Sunday services the joyful chaos of children’s ministries and the quiet strength of weekly small groups. In 2007 Scott Ziegler became Lead Pastor. Under his guidance The Bridge underwent a significant transformation. In 2008 it adopted its current name The Bridge Community Church. A major renovation in 2009 unveiled stunning glass windows and a beautiful lobby. The church experienced explosive growth weekend attendance soared to 1000 people.
But The Bridge’s vision extended beyond its original walls. A desire to create neighborhood churches led to an ambitious expansion. The Bridge Randhurst opened in 2018. A Spanish-speaking ministry launched simultaneously. The Bridge Portage Park joined the family in 2019 after merging with Northside Gospel Center. The Bridge North Shore campus opened its doors in 2023.
Today The Bridge Community Church boasts four locations. This is more than just a church it is a movement. It’s a network of faith communities. Its mission connecting people to God people to each other and people to service continues to resonate throughout Chicago and beyond.
