Located in the General Office, Room G52 on the ground floor of the main building on Malet Street, the Postroom is easily accessible. The entrance is conveniently situated on Torrington Square. Not just a sorting centre, the Postroom team offers a range of services. They can provide information on postal regulations, offer solutions for special mailing needs and advise on customs declarations for international parcels. Need a courier? They can arrange that too. Deadlines are important. For general post, the cutoff time is 4 pm. For recorded, registered, or special delivery post, it’s slightly earlier at 3:30 pm. The Postroom staff even decode the cryptic markings on your mail. A red tick signifies first-class. RD stands for Inland Recorded. IR/D and INT.REG represent International Recorded and International Registered respectively. And SP/D, of course, is Special Delivery.
