The original building, a small, modest structure has expanded over the years to accommodate a growing community of believers. But this isn’t just a story of bricks and mortar. It stands on a prominent location on McCauley Trail West. Cross View has become a vibrant spiritual home for the people of Edina. This beautiful church boasts a spacious sanctuary, a welcoming lobby, and a state-of-the-art early childhood center. The center has been licensed since 1987, providing a place of learning and care for children from infancy to preschool age. The church even has a youth program where they encourage junior high and high school students to connect with students and adults, grow in faith and knowledge, and serve others. Cross View’s commitment to education and community outreach is evident in its various programs. It houses a Community Light School of Discipleship, a program designed to deepen faith and understanding.
The church has gone through many changes over the years, from its humble beginnings to the modern, expansive space it occupies today. Even during the challenging time of the Covid pandemic, the church adapted by quickly switching to an online approach for worship and education to keep their community strong. The church has always been committed to bringing people together, and its expansion project, “Building for Generations 4.0,” is a testament to that commitment. The expansion included the addition of a multipurpose room, aptly named the Great Commission Room.
