Fifty years of spreading God’s word. That’s the legacy of Iglesia Visión de Futuro. We stand before this very building a testament to faith perseverance and unwavering devotion. Founded in 1972 by Reverend Omar Cabrera and his wife Marfa their vision was bold. To reach the lost sheep of Argentina’s official church. Those who lacked a connection with Jesus Christ.

It wasn’t easy. Argentina in the 1970s wasn’t exactly known for its open embrace of evangelical Christianity. They faced persecution. Police even used tear gas and dogs to disperse crowds. Yet they persevered holding services in clubs cinemas and eventually stadiums. Twenty thousand people attended their first week of meetings in Paraná Entre Ríos. Imagine that!

Reverend Cabrera wasn’t just a preacher he was a healer a teacher and a beloved friend. He attributed his strong faith to witnessing a miraculous healing. His brother diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor was miraculously healed. This ignited a fervent belief in the power of God.

His faith fueled incredible growth. Visión de Futuro expanded across the country. By 1985 he spoke to 145000 people monthly. Dr Peter C Wagner considered Visión de Futuro the second largest church in the world at that time. This wasn’t just some small local church. It was a huge organization with a massive impact.

But it wasn’t just about numbers. Countless lives were transformed. The deaf heard the mute spoke the blind saw. Miracles were commonplace. The church became a beacon of hope for countless people.

In 2001 Reverend Cabrera passed the torch to his son Omar Junior. The church continues to thrive today. It uses modern communication methods to spread its message. It even has a museum showcasing its rich history. The work continues. Spreading God’s love across Argentina and beyond. The legacy of faith lives on in this building and in the hearts of its members.
