The school is divided into two departments. The Lower School caters to students aged eleven to fourteen. They’re divided into three classes progressing through L1 L2 and L3. There’s even a class with a higher staff-to-student ratio for those needing extra care. Specialized facilities like adapted toileting areas and overhead hoist tracks ensure every student’s needs are met.
The fourteen to nineteen department is different. Five tutor groups work together. Students across age groups collaborate on various subjects taught by a diverse team. This department boasts classrooms a kitchen an office ICT and leisure areas. Students tend their own garden and use a field for outdoor activities. It’s a significant difference from a typical school. The focus is less about the National Curriculum and more about preparing students for adulthood.
