They merged to form Trinity Mission Covenant Church which later became the Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church we see today. In 1958 Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church found its current home in Oak Lawn Illinois. The building itself is more than just brick and mortar. It’s a sanctuary brimming with symbolic meaning. The triangle a prominent motif throughout the architecture represents the Holy Trinity. This is subtly yet powerfully present in the chancel furniture the organ grill and the window above the balcony. Look closely at the pulpit carving. It depicts three fish encircled within a triangle a beautiful representation of the Father Son and Holy Spirit working together for human salvation. The baptismal font the communion table and the cross at the front of the sanctuary all tell their own stories each a powerful reminder of faith hope and love.
