The closest larger settlement is Dinner Plain, a small village about 13 kilometers away. Blairs Hut is located within the expansive Alpine National Park. This park is also home to many other huts, like Batty Hut, Cope Hut, and the historic Howitt Hut. The vast Tasman Sea, part of the South Pacific Ocean, lies approximately 130 kilometers to the southeast.
