Right in front of you, nestled in the heart of Montevideo, stands Escuela 11 Abraham Lincoln. A proud emblem of public education in Jacinto Vera. It’s a school with an intriguing tale, a place where the echoes of learning and laughter resonate through the halls. The school was established in 1990 but its roots run deep, even before it became ‘Escuela 11’. Teachers and students were once separated. The morning schedule belonged to Escuela 11, and in the afternoon, Escuela 164 took over. This lasted until the 90s, when the extended hours became the norm, and Escuela 11 became the only name. Today, students experience the joy of learning in a vibrant community. They get to indulge in various extracurricular activities, from dance to theatre to art. Imagine a school where the passion for creativity and knowledge is ignited in every child! Escuela 11, a place where dreams are nurtured, and a brighter future is shaped.
