“A garden of paradise” whispers the name Masjid Ar-Raudhah. It’s a fitting title for this beautiful mosque. Standing proudly in Ragunan Jakarta Selatan it’s a recent addition to the city’s landscape. Completed in September 2024 it cost approximately 8.8 billion Rupiah.
The Masjid Ar-Raudhah wasn’t built overnight. Its construction began in March 2024. It’s located on land belonging to the Jakarta Provincial Government’s Food Security Maritime and Agriculture Agency. This isn’t just a mosque. It’s also a community hub. There’s a plant nursery nearby. A convenient location for residents.
This stunning structure boasts 500 square meters of space. It can comfortably accommodate around 400 worshippers. The Masjid Ar-Raudhah is more than just a place of prayer. It’s a symbol of hope. It’s a place of community. It’s a testament to collaboration. Government agencies BUMDs and ordinary citizens all contributed to its creation.
The Pj Governor Heru Budi Hartono officially opened the mosque. He hoped it would become a center for spiritual growth. He envisioned it as a place of comfort and ease for local residents. A catalyst for religious outreach in the community. It is managed by the South Jakarta City Government. The DKM the mosque committee ensures its smooth operation.
Beyond its spiritual significance Masjid Ar-Raudhah offers practical benefits. Ample parking is available for cars and motorcycles. A canteen and additional kiosks provide refreshments and services. This mosque isn’t isolated. It’s easily accessible to the people living near the Ragunan plant nursery. Before its construction there was only one mosque nearby. That mosque was only open to the public for Friday prayers.
