Have you ever heard of a church built by its own parishioners? The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint John the Baptist in Euless, Texas has a unique story. Established in 1980, the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint John the Baptist didn’t always stand in its current location. The community relocated to Euless in 1985. They built a multi-purpose church and hall building in 1987. What makes this church special is the dedication of its people. The parishioners themselves completed much of the interior. Years later, on July 14th, 2012, the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint John the Baptist opened the doors to a brand new Byzantine-style church. This new addition wouldn’t have been possible without the leadership of Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver. Today, the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint John the Baptist stands as a testament to the dedication and faith of its community. They welcome visitors and those interested in learning more about the Orthodox faith.
