Bethel Prayer Centre / Assembly of God started with a passion. Pastor Binuraj and his wife wanted to serve the Lord. They migrated to Auckland in 2007. God blessed them. Like-minded people wanted to worship together. They met on Fridays at a house in Royal Oak. The group grew steadily. God led them to Onehunga Community House. Their first Sunday worship was on September 16th, 2007.

The church grew. The Community House became too small. In 2011, Bethel Prayer Centre / Assembly of God moved to Alexandra Park Greenlane. Passionate people joined Pastor Binuraj. The church focuses on training men and women for God’s Kingdom. Bethel Assemblies of God is grateful for God’s guidance.

The church has a talented worship team. Bethel Prayer Centre / Assembly of God caters to many languages. The main service is in English. There are over 17 language groups. Seven countries are represented. Members meet regularly for cell groups. They study the Word of God. Regional meetings are held in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Sinhalese.

The Sunday school and Teens meet every Sunday. They have a Kids church. Dedicated teachers invest in young lives. The youth wing is a strength of Bethel AOG. They work with the pastor on evangelistic dreams.

Pastor Binuraj T K was born in Kerala in 1977. He was passionate about serving the Lord from childhood. God chose him at a young age. He served the Lord in Udupi and other parts of India. In 2007, he and his family migrated to New Zealand. With his wife, Ancilla Simon Fernandes, he pioneered the Lord’s work in Auckland.

Bethel AOG church is a vibrant church. Pastor Binuraj is also the Police chaplain for the Auckland east region. He is married to Ancilla Simon Fernandes since 2005. They have two boys and one girl.

Bethel Prayer Centre / Assembly of God has a clear mission. It builds a generation that loves Jesus Christ. They impart this love into the community. They lead people to a personal relationship with God. They preach the Gospel. They disciple new believers. They equip them for ministry.
