Robosquare isn’t your average museum. It’s home to 111 robots representing 41 different models. Imagine seeing the friendly Robovie-R a robot designed for everyday human interaction. Or the adorable Aibo a robotic dog that wags its tail and makes cute gestures. Even the legendary Tetsujin 28 better known as Gigantor is here. Nowhere else on Earth boasts such a diverse collection of robots. People travel from all over Japan and the world to witness this amazing spectacle.
But Robosquare offers more than just a look at robots. It’s a place where you can learn and interact. The museum hosts various robotics classes for students of all ages. Junior high and high school students can learn to program Aibo or build their own biped robot using Robovie-R I. There are also workshops for older students and even higher education classes. Kyushu University’s Humanoid Studio and Waseda University’s Fukuoka branch are located right next door. Their faculty members actively teach classes and give lectures here.
One of the most captivating robots is Paro the robotic seal. This isn’t your typical robotic creature. Paro responds to touch it coos and purrs when petted. Its ability to evoke emotional responses makes it a truly unique therapeutic tool.
