A haven for Chinese Indonesians embracing Islam. That’s Masjid Lautze. Before you stands Masjid Lautze a unique mosque in Jakarta’s Sawah Besar. Founded in 1991 by the Haji Abdul Karim Oei Foundation it initially occupied a single shop lot. The mosque’s name honors Abdul Karim Oei a prominent Indonesian nationalist of Chinese descent.
