Consider Mushollah Al-Hidayah. It stands not just as a place of prayer. It is a testament to community spirit and devotion. This story began humbly as a small prayer room.

In April 1998, the first stone was laid for Mushollah Al-Hidayah. Construction commenced on May 14, 1998. This date coincided with the Jakarta riots.

The Al-Hidayah was built through the efforts of the late H Ayat bin H Kusen and the late Hj Murni binti H Muyan. They funded it themselves.

A significant change occurred in 2008. The Al-Hidayah evolved into the Masjid Jami’Al-Hidayah. This transformation addressed a community need. The construction of the East Flood Canal necessitated the relocation of the Al-Ikhlas mosque. This relocation would have left residents near Jalan Raya Haji Miran without a local Friday prayer venue. The community agreed to upgrade the Al-Hidayah. The respected Kyai H Zainudin MZ officiated the inauguration.

H Ayat bin H Kusen passed away on April 5, 2011. Hj Murni binti H Muyan died on May 16, 2015. Their legacy lived on through their family. The heirs continued their wishes to dedicate the Jami’Al-Hidayah mosque.

On December 14, 2016, the dedication became official. Hj Ayanih, representing the family, signed the endowment. H Supandi Bin Dowar represented the Nadzir. The ceremony took place at the Duren Sawit Religious Affairs Office.

Since its establishment, the Mushollah Al-Hidayah transitioned to Masjid Jami’Al-Hidayah. It has seen several leadership changes. Figures like Ustad H Abidillah HS, H M Sholeh and Ustad Yahya Alim contributed to its management.

On January 14, 2017, the DKM Jami’Al-Hidayah was established. Ust H Supandi Bin Dowar headed the advisory board. Ust Yahya Alim and Ir Ninuk Hadi Purwanto served as deputy chairpersons. Ustad H Andri Gunawan led the daily management board.

A month later, on February 14, 2017, Masjid Jami’Al-Hidayah acquired its own bank account. The account was with BRI SYARIAH.

Interestingly, the 14th day holds significance for Masjid Jami’Al-Hidayah. Construction began on May 14, 1998. The dedication occurred on December 14, 2016. The DKM was formed on January 14, 2017. The bank account opened on February 14, 2017.

Mushollah Al-Hidayah stands as a symbol of faith. It is a legacy of community and a series of fateful coincidences. The Al-Hidayah continues to offer guidance. It provides a spiritual home for those seeking solace.
