Established on September 1 1967 the Faculty of Economics and Business Udayana University FEB Unud initially focused on a Baccalaureate program. This program lasted until mid-1976. A significant milestone arrived with the authorization to offer a complete undergraduate program in Economics. Since 1980 this program has been known as Strata One S1. The FEB Unud’s name evolved in 2013. It was officially changed to Faculty of Economics and Business Udayana University. This reflected the institution’s expanding scope. The change was formalized by a decree from Udayana University’s Chancellor. The Faculty of Economics and Business Udayana University now manages twelve study programs. Nine are academic two are vocational and one is professional.
Initially FEB Unud boasted just two majors: General Department and Company Department. The introduction of a semester credit system led to a renaming. The majors became Department of Economics and Development Studies IESP and Department of Management. The IESP department was renamed Economics IE in 2002. This followed a meeting of economics faculty deans across Indonesia. Further changes saw the Department of Economics become the Department of Development Economics in 2007. The Accounting Department joined the faculty in 1989. It was the newest addition to the Bachelor program. A 2017 university statute removed the term department from the faculty’s organizational structure. The Bachelor of Development Economics Study Program underwent a name change again. It became the Bachelor of Economics Study Program in 2020.
FEB Unud also offered an Extension Program from 1996 to 2018. This program ended due to updated regulations on university admissions. At the postgraduate level FEB Unud offers six academic programs. These include Master of Management MM Master of Economics MIE Master of Accounting MAKSI Doctor of Economics DIE Doctor of Management DM and Doctor of Accounting HE. The Master of Management program received its permit in 1998. The Master of Development Economics MEP later MIE program was established in 2001. The Master of Accounting MAKSI program followed in 2007. The Doctoral Study Program in Economics PSDIE opened in 2009. The Doctoral Study Program in Management PSDIM now PSDM began in 2012. The most recent addition is the Doctoral Study Program in Accounting PSDIA established in 2021. The Faculty of Economics and Business Udayana University strives to be internationally recognized. It aims for excellence independence and the incorporation of Balinese culture. Its mission is multifaceted. This includes providing quality education conducting innovative research and engaging in community service. The FEB Unud is located on the Bukit Jimbaran campus in Denpasar Bali. It plays a vital role in the economic development of the region and beyond.
