Have you ever heard rumors of a temple that once served a warrior clan? Standing before you is the Ryusenji Temple, also known as the \u7acb\u5c02\u5bfa, a Buddhist temple with a fascinating history. The temple was originally built by a powerful warrior clan, the Mouri. They called it the Bushozan Konrinji Temple, but throughout the centuries, the temple has changed hands and names several times. In 1535, the temple came under the control of Ouchi Yoshihiro, a notable figure in Japanese history. It was during Yoshihiro’s reign that the temple was renamed to Ryusenji Temple, its name signifying the flowing water of the nearby river. The temple is also said to be home to a unique treasure, a wooden plaque with the inscription, “The Long Pole”. Legend has it that the inscription was a testament to the warrior clan’s dedication and determination, a reminder of a glorious time long passed. Even though the Mouri clan has faded into history, the Ryusenji Temple is truly an embodiment of the spirit of the samurai.
