Founded in 1962 Swiss Cottage Secondary School initially welcomed around 200 students. They were housed temporarily at Raffles Institution. This was while their Dunearn Road building was still under construction. Imagine those early days a bustling temporary campus. A contrast to the modern Bukit Batok campus we see today.

Swiss Cottage Secondary School a co-educational institution boasts a rich history. It opened officially in November 1963. The school welcomed approximately 870 pupils. Instruction was offered in both English and Malay reflecting Singapore’s diverse linguistic landscape. Minister Edmund W Barker praised the school.
