An adjacent parking garage was also acquired. The combined properties became a mixed-use complex. It included loft apartments, parking spaces, and retail. The Davis Building connected to the Dallas tunnel system. Hamilton Properties shifted the focus to street-level activity. Retail uses were brought up to energize the street. This was a turning point for downtown’s revitalization.

In 2011, the building owners decided to upgrade the exterior lighting. They installed an energy-efficient LED lighting system. The goal was to highlight the building’s architecture. It also supported downtown Dallas’s renewal.
