As you approach, a large, imposing Fudomyoo statue guards the entrance, a silent sentinel welcoming visitors. A key feature of Jiouin Temple is its connection to Aizen Myoo, a deity often invoked for matters of love and relationships. Inside the temple, the main hall houses a statue of Juichimen Kannon, the eleven-headed manifestation of the bodhisattva of compassion. Beneath the main hall, you’ll discover the Jizo-do, a sub-temple dedicated to Jizo. Visitors can submit their wishes on ema, which are then ritually burned in a sacred fire, sending their prayers heavenward.
