They gathered with a shared vision – to establish a beacon of faith in their burgeoning community. This, my friends, was the humble beginning of the First Baptist Church of Sunnyvale. The church, initially christened New Hope Baptist Church, held its first services once a month, led by their first pastor, Reverend S.W. Kendrick. The year 1907 saw the congregation dedicating their first sanctuary, a testament to their growing faith.
