Instead of separating students after 4th grade, it offers a combined learning experience for grades 5 through 7. This allows students to grow and learn together before making the decision between Mittelschule, Realschule, or Gymnasium. The school, affectionately known as WBG, is a testament to Willy Brandt’s belief in equal opportunities. It strives to nurture each child’s potential, regardless of their academic starting point. This approach shows remarkable success. Around 40-45% of their Realschule graduates began their journey with only Mittelschule recommendations. But the Willy-Brandt-Gesamtschule fostered their growth, enabling them to reach higher academic levels. This commitment to individualized attention extends to their infrastructure as well.
