Five tablets of Texas granite, quarried from our very own state, bear the names of 3,415 Texans who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. They are etched in stone, forever young, their lives tragically cut short in a distant land. As you walk along the wall, you might notice visitors placing American flag stickers next to the names. It’s a simple gesture, but it speaks volumes about the enduring impact of this war on families and loved ones.
