Before it was established, it was known as Fukuoka City Takamiya Junior High School Tsukushigaoka Branch School. The first entrance ceremony consisted of nine classes. There were 382 students and 15 staff members. Later in May of the same year, Fukuoka City Takeo High School was officially established.
