“Rue des Tourneroches.” The name rolls off the tongue with a certain Parisian charm. The street itself is located in Suresnes, a town just west of Paris. Although it may be overlooked by many visitors, Rue des Tourneroches offers a glimpse into the rich history and vibrant culture of the area. The name itself derives from the location of the street, as it used to be situated on the edge of the countryside near the Tourneroches, a local name, which is also reflected in the name of the nearby Suresnes church, the Église Saint-Cloud. While the street is no longer surrounded by vast fields, its tranquil atmosphere still whispers of a bygone era. If you look carefully, you can spot remnants of the past in the beautiful architecture of the street, dating back to the 19th century.
