A remodeled building on Second Street served as its humble beginning. In 1914 a new church was constructed at 508 Foss Avenue North. Landstad merged with Brandsvold in 1936 and Poplar River in 1941. This merging gave birth to the name Hope Lutheran Church. The current congregation continues to meet in the original 1914 building.
