In the 1960s, Mount Olive became more involved. It joined ecumenical and humanitarian movements. The Rev. Alton Wedel arrived in 1961. Cantor David Cherwien came in 2001. Pastor Joseph Crippen joined in 2010. Anna Scott became neighborhood outreach director in 2014. Mount Olivet made a new commitment. It focused on social justice. It focused on quality preaching. Mount Olivet Lutheran Church offers many ways to get involved. The Congregational Life Committee invites everyone to participate. They support each other in difficult times. They rejoice and mourn together. They spend time together on regular days.
