What if I told you this building is more than just bricks and mortar? This, my friends, is the Water of Life Outreach Ministry. It stands as a beacon of hope in Minneapolis, a testament to the power of faith and perseverance. The story of the Water of Life Outreach Ministry begins with a dream. Pastors Earl and Pamela Gilchrist felt a calling from God in 2003. They were commissioned by their parent church, River of Life Christian Church, to establish a new ministry. This was the birth of Water of Life Outreach Ministry. Pastor Earl’s own life journey adds a poignant layer to this story. He found his faith in 1986 while incarcerated at Stillwater State Prison. The experience sparked a transformation, leading him to dedicate his life to God. His ministry, much like the biblical mustard seed, blossomed from humble beginnings to a thriving community. Initially operating from a community center, Water of Life eventually moved into a leased church space. Through faith and hard work, they purchased a much larger building, a testament to God’s grace. In a beautiful turn of events, Water of Life recently merged with its parent church. Now under the shared leadership of Bishop Earl and Pastor Pamela Gilchrist, they function as “One Church, Multiple Outreaches”. The Water of Life Outreach Ministry stands as a powerful reminder that with faith, even dreams that seem impossible can flourish.
