Ready to explore a Seattle skyscraper that redefined luxury living? That’s Aspira. Let’s dive into its story.

Aspira rises 400 feet into the Seattle skyline. It stands in the Denny Triangle neighborhood. The building’s address is 1823 Terry Avenue. This 37-story tower is primarily residential. It boasts 325 apartment units. Plus, it provides 355 parking spaces for residents and visitors.

Construction of Aspira started in 2007. It wrapped up in late 2009. Tenants began moving in March 2010. Urban Partners initially proposed the tower in July 2006. Their vision included retail space along with the residential units.

Originally, Aspira aimed to be a luxury condo building. However, market conditions shifted in 2009. The developers adapted and turned it into an apartment rental building. At the time, Aspira’s apartments were a cut above the average Seattle apartment. They featured concrete floors, air conditioning, private balconies, and expansive windows.

In November 2012, Aspira was sold to TIAA-CREF for $165.7 million. This sale set a new regional record. The per-unit price reached $509,760.

Aspira was designed by LMN Architects. Turner Construction served as the main contractor. The building has a floor area of 346000 square feet. Three lifts efficiently transport residents.

Aspira also embraced green building practices. The 321-unit building achieved a Built Green 4 Star Certification. It participated in Seattle’s Green Street program. O’Brien360 acted as the third-party Built Green verifier. They inspected and verified the project’s green attributes during construction. The team addressed indoor air quality and ventilation. They reviewed required Built Green documentation.

Modern amenities enhance the living experience at Aspira. These include air conditioning and balconies or patios. Dishwashers are standard in each unit. Residents can access a fitness center and enjoy a pet-friendly environment. Washer and dryer units are available. The community is smoke-free.

Additional features add to the appeal. Energy-efficient appliances and partial wood flooring are present. Ten-foot ceilings and operable energy-efficient windows create an airy atmosphere. Central heat and air conditioning ensure comfort.

For recreation and convenience, Aspira offers a game room. This includes a pool table and table tennis. A yoga studio caters to wellness enthusiasts. Two outdoor dog runs provide space for pets to play. An outdoor terrace features a fire pit and grills. A business center with Wi-Fi and printing is available. EV charging stations accommodate electric vehicles. Amazon Hub Lockers offer secure package delivery.

Aspira stands as a testament to adapting to market demands. It also represents a commitment to sustainable building. It’s more than just a building; it’s a community.
