Wow What a magnificent structure this is. This is the Gedung Kuliah Poltekim the impressive new campus of the Politeknik Imigrasi.
Before 2019 Poltekim the Immigration Polytechnic was located in Depok. It had a different name then too. It was known as the Akademi Imigrasi or AIM. The AIM trained technical immigration personnel. It graduated three classes between 1962 and 1976. Then it closed for 23 years. It reopened in 1999. It offered various courses in immigration.
In 2019 the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights opened this new building. This state-of-the-art facility is in Tanah Tinggi Tangerang Banten. The new campus is a testament to the Indonesian government’s commitment to training highly skilled immigration professionals. It stands on 22 hectares of land. It has space for around 2000 students. This campus also houses the Politeknik Ilmu Pemasyarakatan Poltekip.
The new Gedung Kuliah Poltekim offers several programs. These include D4 in Immigration Technology Management D4 in Immigration Administration D4 in Immigration Law and a D3 program in Immigration. Students receive three types of training. They have regular classroom instruction. They also have field training. Finally there is a special program in cultural values. Graduates become civil servants. They work in immigration offices airports and other locations across Indonesia.
