Liceo 73 is located on Carlos Fosalba and Ricardo Mackinnon in the Bonomi neighborhood in Casavalle. It was inaugurated because local residents and organizations wanted it. They saw a pressing need for more school places in the area. Their combined efforts made Liceo 73 a reality.
Today about 500 students attend Liceo 73. They are studying basic education and the first year of high school. Liceo 73 offers an extended-day program. This provides students with more learning opportunities.
In 2016, Liceo 73 received an honor. Law N° 19.372 designated it as “Profesor Clemente Estable”. This recognizes the school’s importance. It also acknowledges its role in the community.

The open day featured workshops covering radio, cooking, and journalism. There were also displays of theater, hip hop, and candombe. Students showed off their skills in chess, gardening, and percussion.
Movè tu barrio also participated. This socio-educational program works with Liceo 73 throughout the year. They presented a photography exhibit. It featured stories and poems from the book “Historias de amor y de barrio”.
Sandra Nedov, the mayor of Municipio d, attended the open day. She shared in the activities with the students. The Centro Cívico Luisa Cuesta supported the event with games.
