Just get off at the Duren Tiga stop, and look for the prominent sign marking the entrance on Jalan Mampang Prapatan. The interior of Masjid Jami Al-Istikmal is a sight to behold. The spacious prayer hall can accommodate around 1,500 people. The walls, painted in a blend of green and yellow, evoke the colors of mosques found in the Melayu regions of Riau and Kepulauan Riau. At the heart of the mosque lies a grand dome. When viewed from inside, it’s divided into eight yellow segments, separated by green borders. Eight green-clad columns support the dome, connected on the second floor by iron railings for the safety of worshippers. However, it does have one drawback. The parking area is quite limited, and access is through a narrow alley that can only fit one car at a time.
