Founded in 1937 the Golden Gate Church of Christ stands proudly in San Francisco. It’s a testament to faith and community. This wasn’t always the case. The church started modestly renting spaces. Eventually the congregation purchased land. They built a church at 701 8th Avenue near Golden Gate Park. This location became their permanent home.

The church appointed elders and deacons solidifying its structure. This era also saw a remarkable commitment to missions. The church supported missionary work in Mexico the Philippines and Europe.

The late Ralph Brashears along with his wife Bernice established a mission and Bible college in Tayug Pangasinan. This mission impacted countless lives spreading faith and education. The church has seen many ministers serve its congregation. From the late Bro Bonner to the current minister James Quitoriano. Each has played a crucial role in shaping the church’s identity and mission. In 2004 the church installed four elders. Sadly these elders later moved and the eldership was dissolved. Yet the church continues to thrive.
Today the Golden Gate Church of Christ remains active. It hosts My Angel Radio every Saturday. This radio program is a testament to the church’s commitment to global outreach. The church actively shares the gospel locally and internationally. It recently hosted a Soul Winners Workshop. This workshop focused on effective gospel sharing using the We Care Approach. The church actively supports various ministries including a books ministry.
